A 17-year-old teenager working with two other fellow teenagers orchestrated the carjacking of her own father in Montgomery County.

Deputies said a 16-year-old male and another male carjacked the female teenager and her dad at the intersection of Rayford Road and 145 in Spring late Friday night.

Police said that held at gunpoint, father-and-daughter were forced to drive home to give the male teenagers money. At the house, the father made a dash inside, locked the door and called the police. Shortly after that, deputies said the male suspects left and took off with the Red Nissan car. The daughter was left behind.

Deputies found the stolen car near Riley Fuzzel Road and Aldine Westfield and started chasing it. The teenager then abandoned the car and escaped into the woods. Officers said that one of the teenagers even fired a gun into the woods, which then triggered a manhunt.

The other 16-year-old suspect was later taken into custody in the 3500 block of Rayford Road.

Deputies also arrested the daughter, 17-year-old Susan Marie Mize. The other suspects also pointed to her as orchestrating her own father’s carjacking. Mize is facing aggravated robbery charges. She is in jail on $75,000 bond.

It is not clear what’s Mize’s motive for doing that to her own father, and whether they have a conflict. It is also not clear if the teenager has problems with school or family. It is also not clear if the father suspected at some point that his daughter is involved with the carjacking and attempted robbery, that would explain why he ran inside the house to lock leaving his own daughter in the company of the thieves.

Court hearing has not been set yet.
