A Weatherford cardiologist has been accused of assaulting one of his patients. He is out of jail on bond after he volunteered to book himself before being arrested.
Police identified the doctor as Dennis Doan. The authorities also said that they have investigated the cardiologist for more than a month after a 43-year-old patient complained that Doan groped her and made inappropriate comments to her during an exam at the Heart Center of North Texas.
The police also said that they have reason to suspect that there are more victims of Doan. They are requesting anyone with crucial information to come forward so that the police can assist them in the investigation, and in filing necessary charges against the cardiologist if they have been victimized.
Several patients also sent messages to local media commenting that Doan had “poor bedside manner” but they never experienced anything like the one he is being accused of now.
The identity of the victim was not released.
