Popular fashion designer and film director Tom Ford is coming back home to America, thanks to President Donald Trump.
Ford said that Trump's amazing election victory has made him more nationalistic. He feels inspired by Trump and that has helped his decision to move back to the U.S.
In an interview with Women's Wear Daily, Ford said he felt the exact opposite of some liberal Hollywood celebrities who have earlier expressed their wish to move out of the U.S. simply because their bet, Hillary Clinton lost big. Those celebrities cannot accept that Trump is now the President. Yet no one of those who threatened to leave the country should Trump win has done so.
Ford has bought a house in Los Angeles and is set to move from London to LA in the coming months.
The director of the movie Nocturnal Animals said that he is truly American, and that made him want to come back. He also pointed the need to listen and understand the sentiments of more Americans who may be feeling left out. He added that the whole country is not like New York and Los Angeles, both richer areas than most in the country.
Ford's favorable sentiments for Trump now may completely put behind a controversial misunderstanding between the two before Trump was sworn in. Ford said then that he does not want to dress up First Lady Melania. Trump was offended and fired back that his wife does not even like the designs of Ford, anyway.
Ford clarified that he was not rejecting the First Lady, only that he felt it would not be proper for Melania or the President to wear his designs. He said that his clothes are very expensive. They are also made in Italy. Ford thought that the President and the First Lady should wear affordable clothes that Americans could relate to. All's well that ends well for Ford and the Trumps.
