Foolish Rachael Maddow Fails To Bring The Sauce

Rachael Maddow, an anchor for MSNBC, just made a complete fool of herself this week.

The huge embarrassment she has caused herself will not be forgotten for a long time. It will mark her journalism career.

But she only has herself to blame for the mess she now finds herself in. She promised too much. The problem has she had nothing to deliver.

Maddow grabbed much attention when she made an announcement on Twitter Tuesday evening that she has breaking news. She said she has President Trump's tax returns. She promoted to show it on her show later that night over MSNBC.

Maddow's tweet caused a lot of excitement among the public, politicians, and even among her media colleagues. That is because it appeared as if she has exclusive information on her hands. Trump refused to release his tax returns all throughout the 2016 election despite receiving some criticisms for it.

Some even had their own speculations about what Maddow's documents contained. Many were also curious how she got the information.

Perhaps because of all the excitement her tweet created, Maddow later posted another message on Twitter. It clarified that what she has is from 2005. She said she has the President's 1040 form. She again promised the details on her show.

Marrow's clarification made a lot of people irritated because they expected much more. Still, most still watched Maddow's show.

They were in for a huge disappointment. Marrow opened the show with her spending a good ten minutes or more giving a lecture on such matters as truthfulness in government, etc.

She then paused for a commercial break.

When Marrow came back, the big reveal never happened. She only had two pieces of paper with financial information. All Maddow's could show were two pages of Trump's 2005 tax filings.

The documents are real. But they offered nothing new. Nothing shocking. Those documents were first shown by Daily Beast columnist David Johnston.

Maddow's copies of 2005 tax filings of Trump showed that he paid $30 million in taxes in 2005. He also declared some business losses. Again, no new information there.

The viewers were disappointed. They were also angry at Maddow for wasting their time with false promises. She fooled them into watching but they got nothing worth their time. Many took to social media to express their frustration with Maddow.

Maddow, the newsreader, became the newsmaker herself but for all the wrong reasons. Her decision to over hyped her story, or non-story, exploded on her face. It also shows what is wrong with the liberal media who are too focused with ratings instead of real news.
