The co-creator of the massively successful video game Counter-Strike, Jess Cliffe, has been arrested in Seattle and charged with commercial sexual abuse of a minor.
Last week, The Goldwater reported <a href="https://thegoldwater.com/news/17305-Counter-Strike-Video-Game-Co-Creator-Jess-Cliffe-Arrested-For-Sexual-Exploitation-Of-A-Child">Jess Cliffe was arrested for sexual exploitation of a minor.</a> Now, disturbing details surrounding the crime have been released in Seattle police records.
Police say Cliffe paid a 16-year-old girl $300 an hour for three separate hour-long sessions involving sexual intercourse. The girl has not been identified but did say in the documents she used the website SeekingArrangement.com to "meet with men who offered to pay her money to have sex with her."
The girl goes on to say that Cliffe filmed their last sexual encounter without her consent and said he wanted to test out the camera on his new iPhone. The teen refused to be on camera but observed Cliffe was recording anyway. She later asked him not to post the video anywhere and he agreed.
The documents also reveal the girl told detectives she considered accusing Cliffe of making child pornography, but "decided against it as to not upset him in addition to the fact that he could not be certain that he was aware of her true age of 16 years."
Police served warrants to AT&T, Verizon, and SeekingArrangement.com and went to Cliffe's home to inform him he was "named in an assault investigation."
Cliffe's attorney issued a statement on his behalf saying, "Mr. Cliffe is surprised by the allegations and charges. He has fully cooperated with the police investigation, providing any and all information that has been requested of him."
Cliffe has been suspended from employment at Valve and will appear in court on February 25. He posted $150,000 bail to get out of jail.
