Mr. George Soros, the Hungarian billionaire who most British people remember as the man who ‘broke the bank of England’ has been secretly slushing funds to an NGO aimed at reversing Brexit.
The business magnate has donated some $600k in the past few months to the ‘Best for Britain’ campaign, which tries to convince conservative members of parliament of voting against Brexit and for a second referendum.
The group is chaired by Lord Malloch-Brown, a former UK government minister: “We, like millions of people, believe that Britain should lead, not leave, Europe.”
“We work with campaigners, businesses, unions, politicians and community groups to make sure everyone has a strong campaigning voice.”

When pressed by the UK press as to funding and the links to Mr Soros’ Open Foundation which advocates more immigration and diversity for the European Union, Mr. Malloch-Brown admitted they had indeed received donations from his Open Society Foundation.

“George Soros’s foundations have, along with a number of other major donors, also made significant contributions to our work. Indeed, through his foundations he has contributed £400,000.”
“But our small donors have collectively contributed more and the commitments of the other major donors also exceed this amount. So he is an important and valued donor but his funding is one among many sources.”
