NH Child Rape Suspect Shot, Killed In St. Augustine, Florida

A former Nashua attorney who was out on parole after defrauding clients, was shot and killed last night in Florida. Identified as James "The Whip" Hobbs, He was wanted by the District of New Hampshire - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force on a warrant for aggravated felonious sexual assault on a child under 15 by the Amherst Police Department on Jan. 17, 2018.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Department revealed that, the task force developed information that Hobbs, 58, was staying in the Howard Johnson's Motel located near Route 16 and I-95 around 6 p.m. last night.

Hobbs` motel door was being approached by task force members who asked him to exit. Hobbs reportedly exited but reportedly refused to comply over a period of time and "made several sudden moves" that led three law enforcement officers to fire their weapons.

A statement was released by the St. Johns County Sheriff's Department in which only one name was released after involvement in the shooting due to the undercover nature of some task force members. No gun and/or weapon has been found in Hobb's room.
