2 Killed in Fight over Loud Music at NC Mobile Home Park in North Carolina

Loud music can sometimes be a nuance even to the extent of having people killed. That happened in North Carolina where two men have been killed in a shooting that took place at a mobile home park in North Carolina.

The local media received reports from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office and told local media that 47-year-old Scott Chavis of Shannon and 18-year-old Dakota Hunt of Red Springs were killed early Sunday.

The deputies revealed that Hunt's brother, 21-year-old Jody Lee Hunt, was shot and wounded. Thereafter, He was taken to Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton and was listed in serious condition.

The two men had apparently argued over loud music and shot each other. The gunfire was heard by Jody Hunt who ran to the scene where he fired a gun and was also killed. Chavis died at the scene. Dakota Hunt was taken to the hospital but didn’t survive.

The disagreement started in Cousins Mobile Home Park near Shannon and the shooting was called in at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday. The confrontation took place at the intersection of Charlie Drive and Rennert Road. The case is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office’s homicide division at (910) 671-3100.
