A man in Alabama has been arrested and charged late Monday afternoon for raping and impregnating his sister. 20-year-old Eric Arthur Williams has been charged with first-degree rape and incest, both felonies in Alabama.
A court affidavit filed with the Blount County clerk's office said that Williams had sexual intercourse with the victim calling his sister "a female with diminished mental capacity who was also his sister."
The court records also state that while the victim is an adult, she is not capable of consenting to sex. The rape took place in February 2017 and left the victim impregnated.
The reduced "mental functioning" of the victim led to her being unable to carry the child to term but a DNA test on the fetus concluded that Williams was the father.
Blount County District Attorney's Office investigators arrested Williams late Monday and he is being held in the Blount County Jail on $75,000 bond.
