There's an explosively distracting story just breaking where a train carrying multiple GOP members of Congress to a Republican retreat in West Virginia has been stopped short of reaching its destination in a devastating crash on Wednesday morning.
According to<a href="https://townhall.com/tipsheet/cortneyobrien/2018/01/31/train-carrying-lawmakers-to-gop-retreat-involved-in-an-accident-n2442424"> reports</a>, the train carrying members of Congress struck a garbage dump truck vehicle in a volatile accident which caused at least one fatality and numerous injuries.

The passengers aboard the train were comprised of Republican lawmakers who were headed to a retreat at Greenbrier when the train hit the waste management truck.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders has since confirmed that there was one fatality in the crash, although there haven't been any names released as to the deceased or those who may have been injured.
"There are no serious injuries among members of Congress or their staff," she said in a statement.

Representative Carlos Curbelo (R-FL) said, "The train was carrying House and Senate Republicans to the retreat in West Virginia when it hit the truck."
"We were on our way to West Virginia and it was a sudden impact, a loud noise and everyone was jolted," he said.
Representative Dr. Roger Marshall (R-KS) happened to be aboard the train when it crashed, saying on Twitter that he'd performed CPR on the train conductor at least two people inside the truck are "injured badly".

A public statement has since been issued by Amtrak, who said that the crash occurred in Crozet, West Virginia shortly after 11:10 AM this morning.
"Local law enforcement is investigating the incident and crews are inspecting equipment for damage. The train originated in Washington, D.C. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available," Amtrak said in the statement.
The shocking news comes amidst the imminent release of the infamous memorandum belonging to Representative Devin Nunes (R-CA), which The Goldwater confirmed again this morning through White House Chief of Staff will be released "pretty soon", although this breaking story will certainly serve as a <i>derailment</i>.
With the ongoing anticipation in Washington, DC this is not the type of news that Congressional Republicans wanted to hear on this Wednesday.
