Three people were shot at a house in DeKalb County on Monday morning. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident and other pertinent details. Police say three people were shot in the area of Monterey Drive around 2 a.m. on Monday.
The local media spoke to a man named Skip Clark who said he lives in the house where the incident took place but claimed that he did not hear any commotion or people arguing before the incident. He, however, distinctly heard when the gunshots were fired. Clark said: “I know I heard three shots.” The resident and witness said he attempted to help when he heard the shooting. He said someone told him he’d been shot and asked him to call 911. Authorities said at least two guns were used during the shooting.
The DeKalb County police said the owner of the rooming house and another man had invited a third man over. An argument of some sort occurred and they heard gunshots. Clark said he and his family rent homes inside the house. He said when he woke up and heard the gunshots, he found the three men suffering from gunshot wounds to the side and stomach. He also said seeing two other guys laying on the floor.
The three men were rushed to a local hospital. Two of the men are in stable condition while one is in serious condition. The authorities investigating the case are searching for a second gun and other evidence in the case. The officers have yet to establish the cause or trigger that led to the sorry shooting and wounding the men. The identities of the three men have yet to be released by the authorities as well. It is not certain if charges will be filed at this point when the details of the case are not yet clear.
