A tragic series of events has occurred in Melcroft, Pennsylvania that has left four people dead after a mass shooting in Fayette County by a gunman armed with multiple weapons and wearing body armor.
In the town of Melcroft, just 55 Southeast of Pittsburgh, law enforcement were called to a report of shots fired in the early AM hours near a car wash located in the 1300 block of Indiana Creek Valley Road.

Upon arrival to the grisly scene, law enforcement found four people deceased, two men and two women.
Officials said the gunman was armed with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, a 9-millimeter handgun, and a .308 rifle and was wearing a body armor carrier without the ballistic panels inserted.

The victims were identified as 27-year-old William Porterfield, 25-year-old Chelsea Cline, 23-year-old Courtney Snyder, and 21-year-old Seth Cline.
Many local media outlets falsely reported that there were five homicides, but The Goldwater can confirm with 100% certainty there are only four deceased, nonetheless a tragic occurrence.

The fifth person, according to police, was the suspected shooter 28-year-old Timothy Smith.
Smith is currently in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head and is not expected to survive due to the severity of his injuries.
Authorities say that a domestic dispute evolved into a terrifying scene, leaving two males and two females deceased before Smith turned the guns on himself.
Three vehicles were also recovered at the scene, including a green pickup truck that was filled with bullet holes.

A sister of one of the victims claims that the domestic dispute began when she broke up with her boyfriend, the gunman, who became enraged and started firing upon the family.
At this time there's no word on whether there were any eyewitnesses to the horrifying tragedy.
