Breaking Video - Taliban Kill 40 With Ambulance Bomb

The Islamic extremist's group of Afghanistan which the US has been fighting since 2001, the Taliban, has taken atrocities to a whole new level today when they drove an ambulance into a crowd and then let it explode.

First reports from the event which took place in the last hour speak of 20 dead and more than a hundred wounded already, with the death toll mounting by the minute.

Grey smoke could be seen filling the city centre of Kabul as people reported shaking buildings and blown out windows over several blocks, bearing witness to the massive extent of the devastation.

The explosion took place in an area full of foreign embassies and the city's police headquarters. It was crowded with people when the bomb went off, meaning authorities fear the death toll could exceed any previous atrocity in the city.

This attack clearly shows once again that the Taliban are stepping up efforts to take back control of the capital now that the US has moved out the majority of its forces.

Just last week, there was an attack on the Intercontinental hotel in Kabul during which 22 foreigners were specifically targeted and executed.

A member of the Indian embassy in Kabul tweeted: “suicide blast today happened 400 metres away from Indian Consulate in the city. Staff seems to be okay. EU and Swedish missions also in the area.”
