Update: Burglars Smash SUV into Indiana Gun Store - One Arrest Made

Update: The Heral Bulletin is reporting: "Anderson police arrested 18-year-old Javonte K. Johnson of 900 block of West Fifth Street, Anderson, after interviewing him at a residence in Muncie on Tuesday, said Anderson Police Department spokesman Maj. Joel Sandefur."

Reports indicate that two burglars stormed into a gun store in Central Indiana by crashing an SUV into the building. Police revealed that they stole an undisclosed number of weapons.

It’s also been reported by the Herald Bulletin reports that the SUV created a hole Sunday night at Crack Shot Guns that was large enough for the burglars to walk through.

The Anderson Police Spokesman Maj. Joel Sandefur revealed that the suspects, described as males, grabbed handguns and rifles before escaping in another vehicle.

The footage captured by the surveillance camera inside the store is being used by the police in identifying the burglars.

The gun store, identified as Crack Shot Guns, was closed as of Monday as the hole was being fixed and repairs were made in the premise.

Sources indicate that the store is expected to reopen on Wednesday. According to the store owner, Joe Key, he says he's cooperating fully with police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in making sure that necessary steps are taken.
