A St. Petersburg man had an odd way of getting mad and lashing out at his live-in girlfriend. H used a piece of chicken as his weapon of choice in attacking his girlfriend. He was arrested on domestic battery charges.
The abusive boyfriend has been identified as Juwan Brown, 23. He was taken into custody after the ugly fight at the couple’s home.
A police report from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office says that the two were verbally arguing when Brown deliberately stepped on her girlfriend’s foot.
Moments later, the six-foot-two suspect was not through with his anger and abuse yet as he threw a piece of chicken at the victim, hitting her in the left side of the face, and her glasses.
As to the curious question on how the chicken was cooked- whether fried, grilled, marsala style, etc., the authorities have yet to reveal. Cpl. Dan DiFrancesco, spokesman for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said: “We do not have information on the way the piece of chicken was prepared.” Neither probably do they have details on what part was the piece of chicken thrown at the girlfriend- whether thigh, breast, rib or wing.
Brown has been set free on a $5,000 bond. He was ordered by a judge to have no contact with the victim.
It is not clear if the victim is doing fine, and if the erstwhile lovers have kissed and made up, or because of the abuse and the judge’s order, they have effectively broken up. Aside, of course, from the suspect’s temper and violent tendencies, in case of a conclusive break-up, partly to be blamed is a piece of chicken used as an unwitting weapon of violence.
