Pro-life activists, advocates, and supporters may not always agree with everything President Donald Trump says and does, but they sure give him an appreciation for his consistency in his stand on abortion from the campaign trail to the just-concluded March for Life.
The pro-life believers are proud of the fact that the 45th President of the United States became the first sitting president to deliver a live address to the 45th March for Life in Washington, D.C. The President gave his message from Rose Garden at the White House.
Washington Examiner’s Siraj Hashmi went around the March and talked with a lot of pro-lifers and got their reception towards President Trump and his first year in office.
One black woman expressed her appreciation that President Trump is supportive of the pro-life campaign and advocates who are trying to protect unborn children. She also said she thinks Trump is doing okay.
One white lady said she thinks Trump is a man of integrity even if others may not see him that way. She appreciated the fact that he made history as the first president to address a pro-life March, consistent with his campaign promise. She said that she may not agree with everything Trump says, in the same breath that she does not agree with everything her husband says, but she appreciates what Trump has stood for.
Another woman also expressed her admiration for Trump’s standing his ground on his stance on abortion. She said everybody thought he would waver in the face of pressure, but he did not. She also said that everybody thought he would not follow through with his campaign promises, but he did. She said she’s also thankful that he’s the first sitting president to address a pro-life March.
Another lady said she thinks Trump is doing pretty well. She admitted not being “super politically-informed” but that there are issues she cares about strongly like pro-life concerns, that is also why she participated in March. She also said she believes the country does not need more clinics slaughtering children, instead of supporting women raise children they receive into this world. She said she supports Trump on his stance on pro-life and against abortion.
One couple also concluded that they are happy and proud that Trump is the one leading the country today.
President Donald Trump spoke at the 45th annual March for Life and proclaimed that every child is a “precious gift from God” as he addressed pro-life activists. Trump also said that his administration “will always defend the very first right in the Declaration of Independence, and that is the right to life.”
