A 13-year-old girl was raped and impregnated by her older brother in 2012. She was living with her relatives at that time. Instead of seeking justice, they tried to cover up the crime and killed her unborn child. And yes, they are blacks living/incarcerated in Texas.
Six years later, justice is catching up with the … <insert word here> behind the horrific crime against the teenager and her unborn baby as three more people have been sentenced for jumping on the pregnant teen’s belly to force an abortion and erase all proof of the rape.
Court records indicate that 47-year-old Sharon Jones was sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to family violence assault. Her children, 28-year-old Cecilia McDonald, and 29-year-old Cedric Jones, Jr. also pleaded to the same charge. The siblings got seven and five years respectively.
In 2016, Lonnel McDonald, 29, was also sentenced to 10 years for aggravated assault.
The family the victim was living with at that time got nervous that should authorities find out about the rape incident, the Child Protective Services might come in and remove their children from their custody. Aborting the victim’s baby was the “solution” they collectively thought of and executed.
First, Sharon Jones allegedly gave the victim emergency contraceptive pills. When the pills didn’t work, the affidavit says the family members thought of brutally forcing abortion on the girl. Cecilia McDonald held the girl’s arms while Lonnell McDonald sat on the victim’s belly and bounced. Cedric Jones joined the torture procedure and proceeded to kick and punch the victim repeatedly.
The victim was already eight months pregnant at that time. She delivered a stillborn baby a few hours after what the family horrifically did to her. The victim was never given medical attention.
The affidavit states that the suspects tried to dispose the baby’s body on a charcoal grill. When that also didn’t quite work out, Sharon Jones paid Cedric Jones $25 to stash them in an undisclosed location.
The police got wind of what happened, and when they got involved, Child Protective Services stepped in to remove SEVEN children from the home.
The victim lived with a foster family after her "family" was arrested. She is now 19 years old.
The victim’s elder brother, 24-year-old Robert Cayald, was arrested for the rape. His case, however, is still pending as he was found incompetent to stand trial.
President Donald Trump just spoke today at the 45th annual March for Life and proclaimed that every child is a “precious gift from God” as he addressed pro-life activists. Trump also said that his administration “will always defend the very first right in the Declaration of Independence, and that is the right to life.”
