Dead Wife Pranks Husband From Her Grave For Years With Plants

As Phedre Fitton lay on her deathbed four years ago after a hard-fought battle with cancer, she gave her husband her last dying wish; remember to water her plants. Phedre is described by her family as "very funny" and "having a cheeky sense of humor."

Well, she certainly had a sense of humor as her husband Nigel Fitton would find out four years after her passing. Nigel Fitton continued to water her plants and care for them for years but he couldn't figure out why his bathroom floor was always wet.

It wasn't until their daughter, Antonia Nicol, was helping her father Nigel move to a retirement home that they discovered Phedre's final prank. It turns out the flowers Phedre had asked her husband to care for with her dying breath were fake and made of plastic.

He's been religiously watering them & keeping them alive. They look so amazing he decided to take them to his new home, only to discover they are plastic! Nigel was watering the plants for four years before finally discovering they were fake. Their daughter Nicol tweeted a picture of the flowers that went viral.

Nicol wrote, "There wasn't much light in the bathroom, so my mum had replaced the plants with plastic ones. None of us knew. We all found it hilarious. Especially my dad who had been so impressed he hadn't killed them off."

She added in a comment to CTV News, "She was very funny. Had a cheeky sense of humor for sure. It's really made us all happy as a family to remember her like this."
