Fire and Fury' to Become TV Series

Speculation must be rife in the White House as to whom will play them now that the Michael Wolff smash hit bestseller ‘Fire and Fury’ will be made into a TV-series.

The rights, in a seven-figure deal, have been bought by Endeavor Content, the financing department of companies William Morris Endeavor and IMG. The company hopes to make it into a TV-series that will be transmitted onto American homes by the end of this year.

At the announcement of publication last year, interest in the book was only so-so, but when the Guardian newspaper started leaking excerpts, pre-order numbers went through the roof.

As even the White House itself got interested and tried to stop the release, causing publisher Henry Holt to move up the publishing date from 9 to 5 January, interest soared, with some book stores opening up at midnight to meet demand.

In the first days, Ebook and audiobook sales were phenomenal, over 250k and 100k respectively. It then took the number one spot on the New York Times bestseller list after which the publisher announced that in the first week only it had become the fastest-selling nonfiction book in the company’s history.

The Trump family’s adventures in the White House is, of course, the stuff of legends for any TV-series and for this reason HBO had planned a similar move. Back in 2016 already, they negotiated with Mark Halperin, the author of Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain, and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime, to create a TV-series based on the 2016 Republican election in which the Trump family would be center stage. But when sexual assault allegations arose against Mr. Halperin, the project was called off.

Any surprised it won't last long even if it get to the small screen. What Advertiser is willing to piss off 60+% of it customers.
