Breaking: Janesville Marine stabbed to death at Camp Pendleton by Fellow Marine

Things got a little bit out of hand at Camp Pendleton on Tuesday involving two Marines, the incident left a Janesville native stabbed to death by a fellow Marine. The United States Marine Corps is a division of the United States Navy.

According to public information officer Brian Villiard, Pfc. Ethan Andrew Barclay-Weberpal was part of the School of Infantry.

"It's with excruciating sadness and tears in my eyes that I'm writing this," Barclay-Weberpal's father wrote on social media. "There are few details at this time as there is an ongoing investigation. Arrangements are pending and I will post an update when I know more."

One of the base officials revealed that in San Diego the two Marines were involved in an "incident." Another statement was also issued by Capt. Joshua Pena, who told WISN 12 NEWS that the attacker was being held in confinement as NCIS, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, conducts a homicide investigation.

i went through bootcamp there back in 1960.

this is SAD.

and i pray for this Marines family.

School of Infantry? It means these guys had only been in for a few months.

I went to SOI there in 2006. I can tell you that tensions are high and every boot wants to be a grunt so bad that we get a little blinded by the joy of violence sometimes.
