Is it a case of the old saying a mother knows best? Ivana Trump, the President’s first wife and the mother of Ivanka, says her daughter could very well be the first female president of the United States.
Ivana guested on “Good Morning Britain”, and was asked during the interview who could be the first female president of the United States if it’s not media personality Oprah Winfrey who has stirred speculation about running for president in 2020 following her emotionally-charged speech at the Golden Globe awards. Without hesitation or shyness, Ivana answered: “Well, it could be Ivanka Trump.”
One of the supposed big revelations in the anti-Trump book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” by Michael Wolff is the alleged agreement between Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner that when the day comes, it would be Ivanka who will make a run for the presidency.
The controversial author whose book First Lady Melania Trump has dismissed as nothing but “long-form tabloid” writes: “Between themselves, the two had made an earnest deal: If sometime in the future the opportunity arose, she’d be the one to run for president. The first woman president, Ivanka entertained, would not be Hillary Clinton; it would be Ivanka Trump.”
The first daughter and senior White House advisor have not declared any intention nor desire for the presidency. Neither has Ivanka openly discussed or admitted any political ambitions beyond her father’s term. She has consistent;y said she is committed to helping her father while taking care of her young family as well.
President Trump for his part, during the campaign period until winning the White House, always credited Ivanka for her competence and talents. Ivanka has also always been considered by close Trump watchers as the person most trusted by the President and the one closest to him.
