The same "sanctuary" city that allowed a murderous illegal to walk free has now intervened and blocked President Trump's move to end the DACA program for illegal immigrants.
DACA was an Obama-era program that shielded illegals from deportation if they were brought to the U.S. illegally as children by their parents. Trump decided in September that he would put an end to the controversial Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
Trump and U.S. congressional leaders have been locked in a bout over broad immigration reform and he has been met with resistance every step of the way. U.S. District Judge William Alsup ruled Tuesday in San Francisco that the program must remain in place for the time being.
The ruling is just the latest in a series of moves by sanctuary cities to defy President Trump and several organizations have filed lawsuits to protect DACA recipients.
It is astounding that DACA recipients get more attention in the media than American veterans who fought to make this country great and need help.
Judge Alsup said in his ruling that the federal government didn't have to process new applications but had to process renewal applications for existing DACA recipients.
The controversial DACA program protected illegal immigrants from deportation and gave them the ability to work legally. Nearly 800,000 people have been sheltered from the law by the program since Obama enacted it in 2012.
Alsup offered his reasoning saying, "DACA gave them a more tolerable set of choices, including joining the mainstream workforce. Now, absent an injunction, they will slide back to the pre-DACA era and associated hardship."

What does it take to be a judge? Full out the application and give a membership fee? What kind of mentally would you need to keep American justice for the American People.
