Amid scandals relating to a recent book about Trump's presidency, Stephen K. Bannon is stepping down from Breitbart News Network where he served as Executive Chairman since 2012.

Bannon was given the title Cheif Strategist by Trump himself making him one of the president's senior advisers. Bannon was one of the minds behind Executive Order 12769 which suspended the United States Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) for 120 days and indefinite suspension of the entry of Syrians to the United States

After telling author Michael Wolff he thought actions were treasonous and unpatriotic that were apparently directed at Trump's son Donald Jr, the book released causing a major rift between the president and Bannon. By then, Bannon had already left the White House in August 2017.

When the Alt-right movement and protesters came head to head in Charlottesville and the president blamed "many sides", it was reported Bannon was behind the decision to blame many sides. Less than a week later he left the White House.

Things have only gotten worse for Bannon since leaving and the release of Michael Wolf's book Fire and Fury which contained the alleged accusations accusing Donald Jr of being treasonous and unpatriotic by meeting with a Russians in Trump Tower.

Bannon recently clarified he wasn't speaking about any of the Trump's when he said those things he was quoted as saying in the book, but rather he was talking about Trump's former chief strategist.

Breitbart CEO Larry Solov had nothing but kind words for Bannon saying, "Steve is a valued part of our legacy, and we will always be grateful for his contributions, and what he has helped us to accomplish."
