In some places, the water is too deep to drive and people are becoming trapped by the freezing water and it doesn't look like it's going to improve anytime soon.

The conditions are only getting worse and it is possible that looting and the usual miscreants head out of the woodwork. Make sure if you travel anywhere to take extra water, blankets, a radio, anything you have that could keep you alive if you get stuck in the storm by the flooding.
