Marijuana Growing Operation in Georgia leads to Pedophile Busted with Child Pornography

A report from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said that their agents were investigating a large-scale marijuana growing operation and that once they'd finally made an arrest; it turned out the degenerate criminal was also a pedophile.

The Colquitt County Sheriff's Office says that they concluded a joint law enforcement investigation into 57-year-old Milton Wrenn, of Moultrie, Georgia, around two months ago.

After obtaining evidence that Wrenn was the mastermind behind a widespread marijuana trafficking syndicate, they obtained a search warrant for his residence.

Wrenn’s house was searched after a multi-county investigation involving the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Colquitt County Sheriff's Office, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s (GBI) Region 15 Office in Sylvester.

Inside the home, they found over $10,000 worth of marijuana growing equipment, more than 200 “extremely potential” marijuana plants, and four pounds of pre-packaged marijuana ready for distribution.

Wrenn was taken into custody, and electronics from his home were also seized after authorities had discovered Wren may have been tied to out of state trafficking deals.

Once the Sheriff's Department checked Wrenn’s computer, they would then discover that there were multiple folders containing sexually explicit images of prepubescent children engaged in sexual conduct with adults, according to the Ledger-Enquirer.

The Colquitt County Sheriff's Office then requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit, after images depicting the sexual exploitation of children were found.

This investigation is part of the ongoing effort by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, housed within the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit, to identify those involved in the child pornography trade, as reported in a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Program, created by the United States Department of Justice, was developed in response to the increasing number of both children and teenagers using the Internet, the proliferation of child pornography, and the heightened online activity by predators searching for unsupervised contact with underage victims.

Wrenn was charged with 14 counts of child sexual exploitation, on top of the original marijuana charges, and is currently being detained at the Colquitt County Jail.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is also seeking any potential victims of Wrenn, or that anyone with any information in this care to contact them at 404-270-8870.
