Just as every year, Google has released a top 10 of the most searched for people of 2017. As is to be expected, both the Trump administration and the #MeToo provided for a great deal of the list. Here’s the rundown.
10. Gal Gadot: With Wonder Woman topping every summer box office and even rumoured to be the first superhero movie to be nominated for an Oscar, this one comes as no surprise.
9. Milo Yiannopoulos: Milo was all over the news this year, from his self-published book to his controversial speeches.
8. Kathy Griffin: Famous for brandishing an image of yourself with a beheaded president is of course not the best way to make the list, but this American female comedian made it nonetheless.
7. Melania Trump: the most popular of all member of the Trump family, Melania didn’t make a single wrong move this year. Her funniest moment was certainly when the Pope asked her what she gave the US President to eat, to which she smilingly responded: “Pizza.”
6. Bill O’Reilly: The Fox star settled a bunch of lawsuits this year and is finally back on screen.
5. Kevin Spacey: No more House of Cards and cut from a movie to be replaced by Christopher Plummer. Auch.
4. Michael Flynn: Trump’s former security advisor made a splash into the list when he was admitted lying to the FBI.
3. Harvey Weinstein: The instigator of the #MeToo movement made too many headlines to be left out of course.
2. Meghan Markle: An American girl is set to marry a UK Prince as the world watched on.
1. Matt Lauer: The Today Show host of the past 30 years proved to be the ultimate creep. Who else do you know has a button underneath his desk to close the door from a distance so you can’t escape?
