Kylie Richards Relieved of $1M in Jewelry While Instagramming Aspen Vacay

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kylie Richards and her husband Mauricio Umansky were having such a grand time celebrating the Christmas holidays in Aspen with their children, unaware that something bad is already happening in their Encino, California home.

While Richards is happily documenting their fab Aspen trip on Instagram, police authorities have confirmed that their home was burglarized Wednesday night.

LAPD responded to a call Thursday morning at around 11 a.m. PT.

More than $1 million in jewelry, including $150,000 worth of watches owned by Umansky were stolen from the couple’s home.

Authorities said the burglars made their way inside the celebrity’s home by breaking a window. Richards’ jewelry was in a lockbox.

It was the housekeeper who discovered the break-in.

The couple was just in the midst of renovations for the house. They bought the $8.2 million home in October.

Richards’ representative has yet to grant media’s request for comments on the incident.

It is also not clear if the police have a suspect already in the burglary.

TMZ reported that the house was empty on Wednesday while the family was vacationing in Aspen.

The authorities said that there was a security system but it was not apparently on when the robbers got in. Cops were able to determine the time the burglars got inside the house because a closet sensor inside was triggered by the robbers.

The investigators are positive that they will be able to establish the identities of the burglars since the home has a number of surveillance cameras.

A family source shared to TMZ that they believe it could be a case of an inside job because a number of people had access to the home because of the ongoing construction. The burglars also did not ransack the house and appeared to know exactly where to find the valuable jewelry.
