Police in Italy has arrested an ambulance worker on suspicion of murdering the people who rode in his ambulance. The killer worker is accused of having ties to the mafia and killed people who rode on the ambulance by injecting air into their veins causing an embolism.
The Sicilian mafia is known to have ties to the funeral parlor the ambulance worker was driving business to with the premature deaths. If you called for emergency help and this ambulance arrived, you would be faced with a nightmare but you might not have known it.
While expecting those to arrive will help you as you lay helpless on the stretcher, you might have starred the cold-hearted killer in the eye while he injected air into your body. Not the best way to die and this combination of a career in saving people, yet also taking their lives, is chilling.
The suspect is 42-years-old but Italian police have not revealed their identity. Authorities say the killer was gaining a commission for each referral, so it seems to be financially motivated.
Italian police investigated dozens of deaths in the small Sicilian town of Bianca but only three so far have been passed on to a magistrate.
