A despicable excuse for a human being perpetrated one of the most horrific acts of child abuse ever reported because he would not stop crying. The police in Phoenix, Arizona say they were called to a home near 12th Street and Camelback Road on December 19 where they found a 6-month-old child unresponsive and not breathing.
It is not clear who had called the police or how long the baby was not breathing, but an officer performed emergency CPR on the child until EMS arrived. Now, doctors at Phoenix Children's Hospital are giving a grim diagnosis for the infant. They told police that "the injuries are not survivable."
The child was supposed to be under the care of his father, 30-year-old Robert Anthony Resendiz at the time he was discovered by police. The doctors went on to describe the injuries in greater detail telling the police that the infant had lacerations to his liver and pancreas, a broken wrist and bruising on his thigh.
Resendiz told police he pulled the infant's legs over his head and bent his body in half to get his son to stop crying. He said he didn't unfold the baby until he stopped moving and went limp. The baby would have stopped making any sound as soon as Resendiz folded his legs over his head as it would have restricted the poor child's airway.
He also admitted to biting the child, twice, because he was "frustrated." This is a dark, dark person who is a prime example of why prisons exist. A so-called grown man was upset because he had to hear some sound so he brutally tortured a poor, innocent child because 'he was frustrated?' Hopefully, a judge or a jury can agree to just remove this filth from the gene pool completely.
Resendiz was booked into Maricopa County Jail on $250,000 bond.
