1 dead, 1 injured in Raleigh Waffle House Shooting

Police have made a report of the Friday morning shooting that took place near a Waffle House restaurant in northeast Raleigh. The incident claimed one person’s life and a second person who was injured.

The incident grabbed the attention of the Raleigh police officers around 3 a.m. to the 2600 block of Westinghouse Road near the intersection with Capital Boulevard after someone reported hearing gunshots. Upon arrival, the police found two people with gunshot wounds.

Unfortunately, one person died and the other was rushed to WakeMed to where he sought medical attention.

It remains a mystery as to what kind of circumstances leading up to the shooting. The authorities are still conducting an investigation into the shooting. Authorities are yet to release the name of the people who were shot during the incident.

At the moment no arrests have been made, and police say they do not have a suspect description. The officers were seen checking out a vehicle that the victims were near when they were found.
