Theodore Roosevelt pointed out that behind the official government, an invisible one is busy pulling the strings. The shadow or invisible government is now referred to as the deep state. The term deep state is derived from the Turkish system where shadow governments have had a long tradition.
The shadow governments should never be underestimated, a case in example is the failed coup against Prime Minister Erdogan back in July, the coup showed that the deep state are capable of doing much more.
Trumps presidency has totally disrupted the nation in many fronts and it goes without saying that the shadow government is already feeling the impact of Trump's revolutionary regime. It's therefore important for Trump's presidency to handle the deep state cautiously. This stems from the fact that Trump has inherited more than a bitterly divided nation teetering on the brink of financial catastrophe. Trump has also inherited a shadow government that is fully operational and staffed by unelected officials who are in essence running the nation.

A concrete example of a shadow government is Operation Valkyries which was a conspiracy against Adolf Hitler where a COC plan was used to covertly plan Hitler's assassination and takeover Germany.
Its undeniable that there is an unelected deep state thoroughly indoctrinated by the elite class here in the United States. In a tweet made by Bill Kristol, he points out that he strongly prefers normal democratic and constitutional politics. However, he also adds that if it comes to it, he'd prefer the deep state to the Trump state. Bill Kristol is simply admitting that the deep state is operational in the United States.
The recent turn of events that saw Michael Flynn brought down prompt the question as to where the leaks are coming from. The whole turn of events show evidence of the precipitous and ongoing collapse of America's democratic institutions. Flynn's resignation was a soft coup that was engineered by anonymous intelligence community bureaucrats.
The unelected intelligence analysts work for the president, not the other way. Many Trump critics seem not to be concerned that the intelligence agents leaked highly sensitive information to the press, they're actually pleased with the result. However, it important for Americans to awaken to the fact that they're not free and realize that the deep state is rumored to be engineering a soft coup against Trump's administration.
