An Eatonville, Washington man was arrested this weekend when law enforcement found him with an AK-47 and a pistol that he claimed was for battling "the lizard people."
It gets better, the man claims President Trump personally called him to warn him of the lizard people. The man was taken into custody by Pierce County Sheriffs who brought him to a hospital for treatment and a mental health evaluation.
The man was found when a witness called 911 just after 8 p.m. Saturday to report a white Jeep Cherokee was stopped at 108th Street South and Pacific Avenue South in Parkland, Washington.
A state trooper reported seeing a man get out of the Cherokee to wave an AK-47 and a pistol around wildly. Several troopers and deputies converged on the man who put the guns back in the car.
When law enforcement ordered him to the ground he began screaming about "sending in the news" and "lizard people". Both a trooper and sheriff had to deploy a taser to subdue the man after he resisted arrest.
The crazed man admitted to deputies he had "snorted methamphetamine to lose weight" and he was also on morphine which he said was prescribed. The sheriff department said the man told them, "The meth doesn't make me crazy, man. The lizard people are real!"
He claimed President Trump himself called his house in Eatonville and warned him about the lizard people. He also said the "alpha dragon" had taken his family hostage.
The man explained how he was forced to stop in the intersection because the lizard people surrounded him and he had to follow the president's directions to fight them.
The sheriff's department went on to say he planned on attracting the media to the scene so "his story could be documented for history." Medics were called to the scene and they determined he was "heavily under the influence of a stimulant."
The AK-47 was found loaded in his car and the .357 caliber pistol was loaded as well. The man also had 172 rounds for the rifle.
