Local Portland Authorities Fail To Hand Over Illegal Alien To ICE And He Rapes Woman

In the wake of the high profile trial in San Fransisco where an illegal alien who had been released from custody instead of handed over to ICE shot and killed Kate Steinle, another heinous crime was committed by an illegal alien who had been released from a Portland jail.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged an immigration detainer against 31-year-old Sergio Jose Martinez but instead of notifying ICE of his release from the Multnomah County jail he was released and went on to break into a woman's home where he beat and raped her at knifepoint. Martinez had already been deported 20 times but this time he will spend 35 years behind bars.

The Multnomah County Sheriff Mike Reese wrote a letter to residents earlier this year effectively saying they refuse to do their job when it comes to immigrants. "The Sheriff's Office does not hold people in county jails on ICE detainers or conduct any immigration enforcement actions," the letter said.

As a result, hardened criminals like Martinez are allowed back on the streets and Americans like Kate Steinle and the woman who was raped in Multnomah county are paying the price. Police say Martinez broke into a 65-year-old woman's home on Northeast Irving Street and physically and sexually assaulted her before taking off in her 2011 Toyota Prius.

Martinez was able to enter through a window the victim left open due to the heat and according to court documents he spoke "calmly and quietly," ordering the woman to the ground. He then tied her hands and feet as well as blindfolded her. While he sexually assaulted her he even threatened to kill her according to the probable cause affidavit.

He also punched her in the head several times and knocked her head on the wood floor. Eventually, Martinez left taking her phone and car forcing her to use the neighbor's phone to call the police. Police say he was armed with a knife during the entire assault. He was sentenced this Friday to 35 years in prison.

Where are the protesters at who should be outraged at this? If the man was black then BLM would have burned the city to the ground
