James Woods Witnesses Robbery At Gunpoint While Playing Poker At Bellagio

American Actor James Woods revealed in a serious of tweets he was a witness to an armed robbery of the casino where he was playing poker. Woods was minding his own business playing poker about 30 feet from a cashier cage when an armed suspect demands money from the casino staff.

The robbery occurred around 4 p.m. just feet away from where Woods sat and he praised the staff at the Bellagio for their cool and calm response. The suspect was seen leaving the casino in a silver Chevrolet Cruze and police are still searching for him.

Woods has been an avid poker player for around 15 years and sometimes even competes in professional tournaments. At the 2015 World Series of Poker, he took seventh place in the $3000 No Limit Shootout event. Woods is now 70-years-old and has been nominated for two Academy Awards, first for Salvador in 1986 for Best Actor and again as Best Supporting Actor ten years later for his role in Ghosts of Mississippi.
