Keith Olbermann, longtime political commentator and vehement Trump critic, surprisingly announced yesterday during his online program "The Resistance" that he would be "retiring from political commentary in all media venues."
His decision was, according to him, based on the fact that he was "confident" President Trump's presidency would end soon, and it, therefore, seems like the "correct moment" to exit.
"I am confident now even more so than I have been throughout the last year that this nightmare presidency of Donald John Trump will end prematurely and end soon, and I am thus also confident that this is the correct moment to end this series of commentaries," Mr. Olbermann said.
"No illness. No scandal. No firing. Just I've said what I've had to say. It was as obvious as I made it seem. I give my work everything I can, so it's not like I can dial it back."
Social media immediately went into a frenzy of speculation as to the reasoning behind the former ESPN, MSNBC, Current TV and Fox Sports host’s retirement, with most speculation going towards an imminent sex scandal being announced.

Mr Olbermann will normally not be missed too much, and we tend to agree that his theory that President Trump will be impeached due to a ‘Pocahontas’ remark is quite far off.
