Two New Orleans Pedophiles Busted with 560 Images of Child Pornography

Law enforcement in New Orleans, Louisiana say they've stopped another vicious pedophile from hurting children.

According to the Louisiana Attorney General's Cyber Crime Unit, they've made two separate arrests in the case involving a widespread network of pedophiles.

Attorney General Jeff Landry announced that 36-year-old Jonathan Michael Ruiz, of 4300 North Prieur Street, was apprehended and charged with possession of 550 Images of children under the age of thirteen, all of which were being sexually assaulted by adults in the images.

The graphic and disturbing scenes found on the pedophile’s device are not the first time he's been charged with such crimes, further underscoring the statement that <i>there is no rehabilitation for pedophiles</i>.

Ruiz is already on probation for past charges related to child pornography, and the office of Parole and Probation has now placed a hold on him to prevent any bail due to the fact he's a repeat offender that is a danger to society.

He's now facing a fine of up to $40,000 if convicted and a prison sentence of 40 years in a Louisiana State Penitentiary without any parole or suspended sentence.

The Attorney General's office also announced they'd apprehended a second pedophile in an unrelated case, being 62-year-old Randolph Ard, of 69013 Hwy. 1058 in Kentwood, who they say is now facing 10 counts of possession of child pornography with images of children under the age of thirteen.

Ard is a registered sex offender who has previous charges as well, being convicted of both indecent behavior with minors and possession of child pornography in the past, and is now booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail.

“These horrendous Internet crimes against children continuously inflict damage,” Landry said to<a href="http://www.wwltv.com/mobile/article/news/crime/no-man-had-hundreds-of-child-porn-images-police-say/494909118"> Louisiana WWLTV</a>. “Every time one of these videos or images is viewed, the child is re-victimized.”

“As Attorney General, I am committed to doing all that I legally can to protect our State’s children from the vile predators roaming our streets,” said Landry. “Our office remains dedicated to working with our law enforcement partners and using every tool available to bring these despicable criminals to justice.”
