Video - Teens Arrested After Stolen Car Crash Kills 5

Police declared they arrested two fifteen-year-old boys after a horrible car crash yesterday night killed five people (including three children). Th are being held in custody under the suspicion of causing the death of others by dangerous driving.

Seven people were involved in the car crash where a stolen Renault Clio was ploughed into a tree, and police had before assumed that all involved were in the car, but it now seems some pedestrians might have been hit as well.

The youngest victim of the crash was a 12-year-old boy, West Yorkshire Police said. Two 15-year-old boys and two men aged 24 and 28 also died. Police officers were called to the Stonegate Road in the Meanwood area of the city at around 10pm local time on Saturday.

A spokesman for the police department declared that responding officers were confronted by a scene of "complete carnage" upon their arrival at the crash site.

Two people were immediately pronounced dead at the scene whilst the other three died a short time later at hospital.

Chief Inspector Mr Jim Griffiths stated: "This is clearly a tragic incident in which five young people have lost their lives. Whether they were all in the car or whether some of the victims were pedestrians we can't say at this point in time."

Given the great number of lives lost in the accident, the police have cordoned off the road between Meanwood and Moortown in Leeds, which is creating traffic disruption in the area. Local residents have not been allowed to use their vehicles on the road just yet until all technical measurements can be done.
