On Friday the President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump spoke by phone with his counterpart in Turkey, President Erdoğan, about Syria's ongoing crisis and efforts to defeat ISIS in the region.

The White House issued a readout of the phone conversation, stating that both parties have a vested interest in peace in the region.

“President Trump and President Erdoğan underscored the need to end the humanitarian crisis, allow displaced Syrians to return home, and ensure the stability of a unified Syria free of malign intervention and terrorist safe havens,” the readout said.

President Trump also told the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that the United States will stop supplying weapons to the leading Syrian Kurdish militia, according to a Turkish news report.

Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, who sat in on a Friday call between the leaders, provided the account to The Daily Sabah newspaper.

A White House spokeswoman did not immediately confirm the claims, however this is the stance President Trump has implied his Administration would take.

The two governments of the United States of America and Turkey strongly disagree over the path ahead in Syria, with the United States backing the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its armed wing the YPG in the war against ISIS, a position that has angered Ankara due to their strong opposition to Turkey.

Turkish officials have reiterated on countless occasions that the PYD and YPG are no different from the PKK, which is a globally recognized terrorist group, and have expressed frustration with the United States on such support.

The foreign minister also said that President Erdoğan told President Trump that minor issues like the visa row should not be qualified as “problems” between the United States and Turkey.

The primarily Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) formed originally during the Syrian “Civil War” (which most consider to be a Saudi / Israeli versus Russia / Iranian proxy war and their respective allies), and has been a key U.S. partner in rolling back the Islamic State’s territorial control inside Syria, liberating the terrorist group’s self-proclaimed capital city of Raqqa just this last month.

The group is opposed by the Turkish government, which considers the YPG a branch of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which has fought an insurgency in Turkey since 1984.

The groups have overlapping membership and the PKK has supported the Syrian group.

Many others including Israel's Zionist intelligence Chief, Major General Herzi Haley, have been on the record saying they prefer ISIS to win inside of Syria over Assad, something that has outright shocked the world.

Multiple forces at work against Assad and his overwhelming support from Syrians have consistently been defeated by the Syrian Nationalist leader, with Bashar al Assad being the victor on every occasion.

Thus, far with both American and Russian airstrikes, Assad has been able to clean up the insurgency all across his country in an effort to repair it despite outside funding of militias to try to topple his governance.

There are multiple videos which show children being trained by outside interests to both fake reactions to chemical attacks, and paint Assad as some sort of villain for “gassing his people”, which has become a topic of hard-core debate amongst many nations with opposing feelings on Assad.

Earlier this summer President Trump decided to end all funding of what's commonly referred to “moderate rebels”, a move that has angered NeoCons such as John McCain and the majority of the Deep State.

Opinions about Syria and the endless propaganda have been considered at times controversial but when one takes into account the support from Israel directly to ISIS it's not hard to believe much of the “conspiracy” claims.

Much of this support is a proxy war between Israel's arch-rival Iran, and even more of the dispute is over the historic Golan Heights region.

What certainly seems to be an endless battle inside Syria, only leaves Syrians suffering and the United States in dispute with allies.

As of today however, alongside his conversation with Turkey's Erdoğan, President Trump is making the tough decisions to pull out the United States support of either side.

It's not America's problem, and we have much more to deal with elsewhere than to focus on another Middle Eastern conflict.
