Cases of domestic violence are not new in today’s culture, however, some cases end up with the loss of lives. Women are often the majority victims in such cases. But in very rare cases will you hear of perpetrators abusing or killing their mother.
That was the case in Pennsylvania where a man shot and killed his mother and girlfriend shortly before killing himself moments later, authorities said.
Clearfield County District Attorney Bill Shaw revealed that the 26-year-old Cody Bush killed the two women on Friday morning before taking his life.
Reports from the Clearfield Progress newspaper revealed that a third person who was also shot by Bush, was taken to an Altoona hospital to undergo surgery. However, the police are yet to identify the victims.
A statement made by Shaw also revealed that the perpetrator’s body was found later near Route 53, a state highway.
Shaw revealed that state police were called to a home to investigate a domestic incident involving gunshots in Osceola Mills, about 90 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, they found the bodies of Bush's girlfriend and mother. Investigations are still underway.
