Child Shot on Thanksgiving in Drive-By Shooting in Fort Bend County, Houston

Tragedy struck on Thanksgiving as a child was shot in a drive-by shooting in Fort Bend County in Houston, Texas. The child was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

The shooting incident took place just before 7 p.m. in the 3700 block of McHard Road in Houston.

A suspect in one vehicle fired a shot at another, hitting the child in the foot.

The authorities are still investigating the incident and could not release much information yet, including the identity of the shooting suspect. The police have yet to share possible motive for the shooting as well.

It is not clear who was traveling with the child at the time of the incident, and if the suspect was aiming for someone else and accidentally hit the child.

The age and gender of the child are also not available yet. There is also no word yet on his or her condition as of Thursday evening.

It is not clear yet what other leads the authorities to have on the case, and if surveillance or dash cam videos are available to hunt down the shooter.
