1,800 Gallons Of Vodka Stolen from Distillery in LA

Los Angeles – Police are searching for thieves who swiped more than 1,800 gallons (6,800 liters) of vodka from a downtown Los Angeles distillery.

The inspector says the suspect sawed through deadbolts to enter the storage room of the Fog Shots distillery.

The company's representative Art Gukasayan says that the thief robbed approximately 90% of the company's vacation stock and its value is worth about $278,000.

The investigator is looking into the surveillance video showing three men behind the wire fence. One of them climbs up the fence and breaks the camera before entering.

Gukasyan said he was concerned about thieves trying to sell alcohol to underage children.

He said;

"At the end of the day these guys who took the product didn't know what they were doing because you really can't do anything with that product," he said. "You can't go to stores and sell it. You can't be taking it across the, out of the border, selling it to tourists elsewhere or take it across state lines because there is constant tracking of this. There are barcodes."

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles Police Department.
