Mystery Deepens Regarding Motive for Rand Paul Attacker

Almost three weeks out from the attack on Senator Rand Paul and the motive behind the attack doesn't seem any clearer than when it initially happened. Kentucky Republican Senator, Rand Paul, son of Ron Paul, was attacked by a neighbor, Rene Boucher. Initially an "unnamed neighbor" was reported to have claimed that the impetus behind the attack was a long-standing "landscaping dispute."

<quote>"There have been several nights where I had my hand on my phone ready to call 911 when his breathing became so labored it was terrifying."</quote>

Kelly Paul says that Senator Paul hasn't taken one breath that wasn't pained since the attack. She also rues the "hateful headlines" regarding the theory of a landscaping dispute. An attorney for the attacker, Rene Boucher, insists that there is no political basis for the attack, but Kelly and Rand aren't quite so sure.

Another neighbor who is willing to have his name entered into the record, Travis Creed, spoke to the Washington Examiner.

"The stories of a 'landscaping dispute' or a dispute of any sort between Rand Paul and Rene Boucher are erroneous and unfounded. The reason for Mr. Boucher's bizarre attack is known only to him. Statements to the contrary are irresponsible and unnecessary."

"The average person takes 20,000 breaths a day. Since November 3, my husband, Rand Paul, has not taken a single one without pain. He has not had a single night's sleep uninterrupted by long periods of difficult breathing or excruciating coughing."
— Red Nation Rising (@RedNationRising) November 22, 2017

Some conservative leaning publications are leaning towards the possibility that the attack may have been politically motivated, pointing to Boucher's "troubled mind" and his repeated angry social media outbursts such as imploring FBI's Robert Mueller to "fry Trump's gonads." Since Trump's election, we've had a handful of die-hard liberals decide they needed to violently take the future in their own hands. For instance, the Trump hating college student recently arrested after admitting on YouTube he wanted to go on a killing spree in multiple videos. The attacker in Portland was a Bernie supporter. The man who shot Robert Scalise was targetting Republicans and had a list of conservatives he aimed to shoot. Boucher has been charged with misdemeanor assault. It will most likely take Rand Paul months to recover.

Yeah and theyre gonna win cause they attually fight their enemy while we sit like ducks waiting to get killed. All Trump jas done is hold us back and wait. Letting these attacks happen without a peep its very troubling.
