US Border Patrol Agents Were Ambushed And Beat To Death With Rocks

Illegal immigrants beat two US Border Patrol agents with rocks killing one of them in what appears to be an ambush at the Texas/Mexico border. The illegals killed Rogelio Martinez, 36, by bashing his head with blunt objects, possibly rocks, in the brutal ambush. The other agent's identity has not yet been released but he is in serious condition at the hospital according to a National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) official.

The two Border Patrol agents were patrolling the Big Bend Sector when they were attacked which led authorities to scour West Texas for the illegals. Few details surrounding the ambush have been released but the president of the NBPC, Brandon Judd, indicated the two agents were ambushed by a group of illegal immigrants. Judd told Fox News on Monday, "We don’t know exactly what happened because we weren’t there. However, just from agents that were working in the area, reports are saying it was an attack and it would appear to be an ambush. There’s a high likelihood this was an assault on the agents."

Texas Governor Greg Abbott offered a reward of $20,000 "for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible" for the deadly ambush. Judd described how Martinez died of blunt force trauma to the head making the working theory that he was beaten to death with rocks during the ambush. The second agent also received blunt force trauma to the head and the location of the attack seems to support the idea rocks were used.

"There were no indications the agents fired their weapons," Judd said. He also confirmed there were no signs of stabbing and Martinez was notified there was illegal immigrant traffic in the area where the agents were patrolling. Martinez began following "footprints" when the ambush happened. President Trump offered his condolences Sunday on Twitter and the FBI is investigating the incident.

This is why immediate shoot-to-kill orders should be issued to all Border Patrol agents, and security increased. Where possible, no less than one full Fireteam (6-7 Agents) should undertake patrols as a group.
