Daytona Beach Police Sgt. Tim Ehrenkaufer said that's when Net Works employees contacted law enforcement who brought in investigators from the Advanced Technology and Cyber Crimes a Unit who then seized possession of the computer to begin a forensic examination.
A search warrant was then obtained, and investigators discovered what they described as a “disturbing amount” of child pornography on the computer.
Lee Holmes was then called to return to the Net Works store to pick up his computer, however upon arrival he was greeted by Ehrenkaufer and a shiny pair of handcuffs.
Holmes was charged with 17 counts of possession of sexual performance by a child before being booked Friday into the Volusia County Branch Jail, and was later released on Saturday morning after posting $170,000 bail.
“He admitted to looking for and downloading the child porn,” Ehrenkaufer said. “He said he does it because he’s bored, and then he deletes it.”
