Adult movie star Madison Missina, who was elected “Porn Star of the Year for three years consecutively”, gave an interview to an Australian outlet revealing what really goes on behind the scenes of a porn set. Her answers are startling, to say the least.
Ms. Missina knew from a very young age on that all her life she would want to be a sex worker. The now 35-year-old started with massage parlors, went on to brothels and has appeared in countless adult films in the past decade. But working in porn films isn’t all she thought it would according to Madison.
“It’s quite clinical … and it’s completely void of what makes good sex good. There’s a lot of communication before we start filming, so the scenes are really good for the camera.”
“It gets quite messy … and it’s so painful. The worst sex I’ve ever had is on a porn set.”
Madison starred in more than 200 porn movies since 2012, in one year she ‘featured’ in some 55 scenes.
According to her, the men in those movies aren’t all that meets the eye, and lost erections as very common: “But depending on the scene, most porn we don’t like to have many cuts while filming. The only time we will cut mid-scene is because the male has lost his erection — which happens all the time.”
“That’s what is funny about men who book me. They often say they hope they’re as good as the guys in the movies, but all the men in porn are on Viagra.”
Ms. Missina admits that her work gets in the way of relationships though and that she has trouble holding on to a man as they mostly get attracted to her career rather than herself.
“People I’ve dated often see me as a trophy because I’m a porn star. Often they’re attracted to my career, and that’s hugely problematic for me. They like showing up to all the parties with a porn star.”
“But I love this industry, the human side to it and I am so lucky to have this extraordinary life and crazy adventures. It’s very exciting.”
