F*** Trump Bumper Sticker: Free Speech or Hate Speech By Liberals?

A photo literally screaming disrespect for President Donald Trump is going viral, and people are reacting, either passionately against it while some are even cheering for the message, albeit vulgar.

The photo shows a white pick up truck with a tinted back window and with a large bumper sticker that reads ‘F* Trump and F* you for voting for him.’

The sticker laced with profanities for Trump and his voters came to the attention of local law enforcement in Fort Bend County in Texas. One official was so “affected” that he sought to find the driver of the truck, presumably, also the one who put the said controversial and divisive bumper sticker.

Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls posted on social media the photo of the said truck with the angry sticker, along with a lengthy caption explaining why he is searching for the driver. Nehls wrote:

“I have received numerous calls regarding the offensive display on this truck as it is often seen along FM 359. If you know who owns this truck or it is yours, I would like to discuss it with you. Our Prosecutor has informed us she would accept Disorderly Conduct charges regarding it, but I feel we could come to an agreement regarding a modification to it.”

There is actually a basis for the disorderly conduct charge, as Nehls also pointed out in the comments section. Nehls wrote the context for the possible disorderly conduct charge when: “( A person commits an offense if he intentionally or knowingly: (1) uses abusive, indecent, profane, or vulgar language in a public place, and the language by its very utterance tends to incite an immediate breach of peace; (2) makes an offensive gesture or display in a public place, and the gesture or display tends to incite an immediate breach of the peace.”

The driver was found and she spoke with the local media. Karen Fonseca tried to downplay the malicious intent of the sticker she put on the back of her pick up truck. She said: “I thought the whole thing was totally crazy. It’s been on there for such a long time and we have so much positive out of it- more positive that outweighs the negative.”

There are also those defending Fonseca and invoking the right to free speech. There is also a healthy discussion on Nehls’ post, some supporting his message, others insisting that the driver has the right to free speech.

The issue remains unresolved for now. Nehls defended that he is merely responding to the calls of residents.

Without a clear resolution for now, however, perhaps it begs to ask liberals and Democrats about consistency, double standards, if not hypocrisy. They will be the first to react violently the second they assume, for example, that “Black Lives” are being disparaged and call out hate speech for the faintest negative comments on their “favored” sectors. Yet when is it okay to curse the leader of the country, the President of all Americans, and the segments of society who merely exercised their democratic right to freely choose their leader? How come they don’t consider that as “hate speech?”
