79-Year-Old North Carolina Pedo Charged with Assaulting Multiple Victims

Sheriff’s deputies in North Carolina have charged a 79-year-old elderly man for the sexual assault of three teenagers younger than 15 years old.

The suspect has been identified as Walter Hubert Willis Jr. of Morehead City. The Carteret County Sheriff’s Office told local media on Tuesday that Willis, Jr. had turned himself in on October 27.

The sheriff’s office only released information on his arrest Tuesday afternoon.

Willis, Jr. is charged with three counts of indecent liberties with a child and three counts of sex offense with a child.

Authorities said the assaults on the children happened between 2013 and 2017.

Willis, Jr. has been sent to jail on a $1 million bond. It is not yet clear if he has already availed the services of a lawyer.
