A man in Memphis, Tennessee put a 1-year-old girl in a bed with his gun and a 3-year-old shot the younger sibling killing her. Memphis Police announced Saturday that Shawn Moore has been charged with criminally negligent homicide in the shooting death of the toddler.
Additional charges have been filed stemming from being a felon in possession with a handgun and tampering with evidence after 1-year-old Robbin Keefer's death. Robbin was shot Friday morning according to police at a Memphis apartment complex. Witnesses admitted hearing a gunshot and found Robbin had been struck by the bullet. Police attempted to block roads in order to get the tot to the hospital faster but she ultimately was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police indicate Moore originally fled the scene and attempted to hide the gun but later had a change of heart and decided to turn himself in for the crimes. 25-year-old Moore was booked into Shelby County Jail Friday night according to the Sheriff's Office.
