Detectives in Fairfax County, Virginia are searching for a man who opened fire on an ATM, point blank with a shotgun. The attempt at robbing the ATM was unsuccessful. Officers were called to the BB&T bank around 11 a.m. Sunday morning after a customer reported that pieces of the ATM were strewn about the area. The unsuccessful hold up was caught by surveillance cameras. As a result, the suspect is believed to have left the scene in a 4-door sedan. Surveillance images don't offer a clear view of the face, but the suspect was wearing a red Nike hoodie.
What the suspect lacked in brilliance, he more than made up for in ballsiness. The attempted robbery was not only on camera but took place right off of Richmond Highway.
