Apparently, criminal dementia runs through the blood of this family’s heritage, where legendary Serial Killer Rosemary West’s nephew has now been convicted of raping a twelve-year-old girl.
Authorities say that 38-year-old Stephen Letts is the estranged son of Serial Killer Rosemary West’s brother Graham, seemingly implying that the family in itself was cursed from the start with committing atrocities against innocent people.
For those who are unaware Rosemary West was convicted in 1995 if killing ten people including her 8-year-old stepdaughter; in which her and her husband were believed to have kidnapped and enslaved nine women (law enforcement say up to twenty more were victims as well) inside their home where they built a torture chamber to make each of the victims suffer.
Now nearly three decades after she stood trial for those horrific crimes her nephew Stephen Letts has been accused and convicted in a kidnapping and rape of a twelve-year-old child that he met at Gloucester City Center back on March 6th of this past year.
Letts had entered a Not Guilty Plea in the case to both the rape and abduction of the child inside of a Gloucester Courtroom.
The case is extraordinarily disturbing, to say the least, where it appears the child was an orphan who had a promiscuous background including that of degenerate behavior who was under the guidance of a social worker who also apparently failed to do her job due to her liberal nature.
After the young girl asked Letts for a cigarette, allegedly, he then instead offered to give her a joint of marijuana.
The girl was apparently with a social worker at the time who warned Letts that she was underage, yet despite her warnings, the social worker had still allowed the girl to leave with Letts.
As if that doesn't already sound far-fetched enough, the court said Letts then held the girl captive at his apartment for two days in which he kept her drugged on alcohol, cocaine, and marijuana in order to coax her under his control.
She also said that Letts “let her smoke cocaine through a glass pipe to see how her body copes with it” since it was her first time trying the drug.
She also said that Letts had a friend present at the time of the drug abuse, but he left the apartment once he was told that she was underage.
During the testimony, she said that Letts had kissed her in his kitchen, where she told him she was only twelve.
The young girl testified that once she became sleepy and laid down thy Letts then climbed under the covers with her and started <i>”cuddling”</i> with her before he began to have sex with her.
The victim claimed that she wanted Letts to stop the attempts at intercourse but also felt guilty because he had provided her with both cocaine and alcohol, so she allowed him to continue.
After which she apparently left the house of her own free will and returned to the Social Worker, who had scolded her for staying gone so long.
During that conversation, the twelve-year-old apparently asked the social worker a stunning question which brought forth the police into the case.
“How long does it take you to find out if you're pregnant?” the girl asked.
This then prompted the social worker to involve law enforcement who then sought the rape and kidnapping charges.
The entire incident is choppy at best and the social worker should have been charged as well for allowing the child to leave with the stranger.
However disturbing the facts surrounding the case are, Letts was found guilty of the crimes during the trial.

He will head back later this month for sentencing in the case.
While no doubt a pedophile, who manipulated a child, it, unfortunately, seems as if the child herself suffers from some major issues and the social worker bears responsibility as well.
These are the types of cases that display some of the worst people humanity has to offer.
